Organic means that a product comes from ecological cultivation and has been produced in a natural, untreated way. If cigarettes or tobacco are described as organic, consumers may be led to assume that cigarettes are harmless to health. That is, of course, not true.
Only the term cigarettes without additives is permitted. Cigarettes without additives are also increasingly marketed and gladly bought in Germany. Cigarettes with additives, such as menthol cigarettes, are now even banned.
